Kenya : Balloon and Breakfast

The highlight of this trip definitely was getting on the balloon and seeing the grand African sun rise from up in the air.

この旅の目玉イベントは、気球に乗って朝日を見たこと。

この日は他の予約者がいなかった為、私達だけの貸し切り運行でした。

いろんな種類の動物が、目覚めて動き出すところが見れました。

This isn't just the end of this tour…we landed in the middle of nowhere in the safari.
サファリの大きな大地に着地したら、

私の今までの人生の中で一番、『ワイルド』な朝食が準備されていました。

{There were three cocks and a server for just us two}
コックさん3人とサーバーさん1人による手厚いサービスのお陰で、
こんな野性的にいるけれどもなんだか優雅な気分に。
朝からシャンパンまで頂きました。

サファリのど真ん中で頂いた朝食は、とっても美味しかった！
いつライオンやチーターがやってくるか分からないから、ちょっと怖かったけど笑
でもものすごい開放感でした。

I highly recommend this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Kenya : The People

{Maasai People Singing us the welcome song}
マサイ族が伝統的な歌を歌ってお出迎えしてくれました。
真ん中でジャンプをして脚力をお披露目するのがお決まり

カラフルな衣装が素敵なマサイ族の女性たち。

工芸品を観光客に売って生計を立てている様で、
車に乗っててもお願いよ〜とかなりグイグイ。

小学校を訪問しました。

日本の首相は？人口は？特産品は？
とたくさん質問して、しかも自分たちで答えていました。

マサイ族の家。牛糞で出来ていて、暑さにも寒さにも強いそう。

泊まっていたコテージの従業員カップルとこども。

飴をあげたらちょっと機嫌がよくなって、カメラ目線頂きました〜^^

Kenya : The Animals

{Mt. Kilimanjaro and an elephant}
キリマンジェロ山をバックに象を初めて見た時は、すごい迫力に感動しました。

でも、その後、見飽きる程たくさんいて笑　家族みんなで団体行動が基本の象

{The wild life}
動物園では見られない、野生の生態。ちなみにライオンはメスがハンター。

{Young male elephants go on a solo journey in their early years}
若いオスの象は、ある一定の年齢になると1人旅に出されるそう。すごい教育制度！

{The birds that mate for life 生涯番いで生きる鳥}
Apparently, the only way to know which is male and which is female is finding the one that's working hard getting food and feeding the other one---which is the male.
見た目がとても似ているので、どちらがオスでどちらがメスか見分けるには、一生懸命エサを探して口渡しでもう一匹にエサをあげている方がオス、とのこと。

キリンは穏やかでとろ〜んと眠そうな目をしていて、まつげが長くて可愛かった。

いろんなことがこの写真の中で起きてる。人間界の縮図みたいw

{The Evil Two of the Four}
Looks romantic yes, but they're actually brothers who's just attacked and murdered another male lion and his family. Perheps it's a victory pose. 
見た目はロマンチックだけれども、この2頭はマサイマラ国立公園でハンター達にも有名な、極悪4兄弟のうちの2頭。４人で他のオスライオンを殺して、その家族を襲った後。おつかれ、って言い合ってるみたいだった。

{Family Love}

I was touched when I heard that when a family member dies, the whole family would gather around his/her bones and mourn for a week. 

家族の絆が強い象は、親戚の誰かが亡くなると一週間はその骨の回りを囲み、

悲しむんだそう。

ほんと表情豊かで、人間みたい
